Disaster Prevention Administrative Radio
Oizumi Town has installed sub-stations of the Disaster Prevention Administrative Radio at 53 locations, including public facilities and primary and junior high schools, and began operating them on July 1, 2017, with the aim of promptly informing residents of emergency information such as information related to natural disasters and evacuation advisories.
As for the disaster prevention administrative radio
The disaster prevention administrative radio is a broadcasting system for the purpose of simultaneously announcing weather information such as a record breaking heavy rains or typhoons, emergency information such as major earthquakes, and evacuation advisories issued by the town. It is broadcasted from speakers installed throughout the town.
In the meantime, the chime (Westminster Chime) is broadcast at 5PM every day as the experimental broadcasting.
