The catch-up period for the cervical cancer vaccine will be extended until March 31, 2026.
Conditions for extending the vaccination period
Persons who meet all of the following conditions
- Women born between April 2, 1997 and April 1, 2009
- Women who have received one or two doses of the cervical cancer vaccine between April 1, 2005 and March 31, 2025
- Women who have not completed three doses of cervical cancer vaccine

The vaccination is not compulsory. Please make sure you understand the effects and purpose of vaccinations, as well as the possibility of serious adverse reactions, before getting vaccinated.
For those who wish to receive the first vaccination in the future
The number of applicants who wish to be vaccinated may be concentrated around the vaccination deadline (March 31, 2025). If you wish to be vaccinated, we recommend that you do so as soon as possible. Please note that if the first vaccination is given after March 31, 2025, you will not be eligible for the extension of the vaccination period and will have to pay the full amount of the vaccination.
For those who do not have a preliminary medical examination form
A preliminary checkup sheet will be issued at the Health and Welfare General Center .
Please come to the Health Promotion Division counter with your Mather and Child Health Handbook or something that shows your vaccination history. Foreign nationals should also bring their Zairyu card.
