The town will hold a “”Celebration Ceremony for the Age-of-20 (Hatachi wo iwau kai)” to celebrate those who are turning 20 years old, and to provide an opportunity to make them aware of their responsibility as adults.
With the lowering of the age of adulthood on April 1, 2022, the name was changed from ”Coming-of-Age Ceremony (Seijinn shiki).

Eligibility
Residents born between April 2nd, 2003 and April 1st, 2004
An invitation letter has been sent to each of the eligible residents of the town in the middle of November. If residents outside of town and wish to participate, please contact the Lifelong Learning Division (Shogai Gakushu-ka) so that an invitation letter will be sent to the applicants.

Upon Participation
Please submit the information letter sent by the town to the receptionist.
Notes
- Those with fever or cold-like symptoms advised not to participate.
- Wearing a mask is at the discretion of the individual.
- Do not participate if you are intoxicated.
- Eating and drinking are prohibited in the main hall.
- Please refrain from shouting or any other behavior that may disrupt the order in the hall. If your behavior does not improve after being warned, you may be asked to leave the venue immediately.
Others
- An invitation letter has been sent to each of the eligible residents of the town in the middle of November. Sign language interpretation will be provided.
- Families and others can be attended since seats are available in the main hall. (about 100 seats)
