Various medical check-ups will be conducted by the town. Notifications have been mailed to those who are aged 40 years and older around middle of May. Please get into the habit of having regular checkups and ensure your good health.

Depending on the situation of the spread of COVID-19, there may be changes in the implementation of medical check-ups. In this case, we will announce the change through publicity, our website, and so on. So please check. If you have a fever or cold symptoms (cough, fatigue, breathlessness, etc.), please refrain from receiving the check-up.

Application for Exemption of Self-Payment for Various Medical Check-Ups

There is the exemption system of self-payment for various medical check-ups. For details, please inquire of the Health Promotion Division. 

Various Medical Check-Ups

Tuberculosis / Lung Cancer Screening

• Contents: Chest X-ray examination
• Eligible Persons: Residents in the town who are aged 40 years and older, and who have no opportunity to receive a X-ray examination at work, school, or etc.
• Self Payment Fee: Free

However, if you wish to receive a sputum cytology examination, 500 yen of self payment fee will be required when you submit a sputum container.

Prostate Cancer Screening

• Contents: PSA Test (Blood Test)
• Eligible Persons: Residents in the town who are aged 50 years and older
• Self Payment Fee: 500 yen

However, if you are under observation or treatment about prostate cancer, please check with your doctor about this checkup. 

Hepatitis Virus Examination

• Contents: Examination for Hepatitis Virus type B and type C (Blood Test)
• Eligible Persons: Residents in the town who are aged 40 years and older, and who have never had a hepatitis virus examination in the past. 
• Self Payment Fee: 500 yen

However, those who are aged 40 years, 45 years, 55 years, and 60years, and also have never had a hepatitis virus examination in the past are free.   

Bone Density Test

• Contents: Ultrasonography examination of the heel
• Eligible Persons: Female residents in the town who are aged 40 years, 45 years, 50 years, 55 years, 60 years, 65 years, and 70 years.
• Self Payment Fee: 500 yen

The examination will be conducted barefoot. Please come prepared to take off your sock easily.

Application Method

Application for medical check-ups of Tuberculosis / Lung Cancer, Prostate Cancer, Hepatitis Virus, Bone Density are not required. Please come to the venue when you are convenient.

Date・Time・Location

In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and prevent the 3C’s (Crowded places, Closed places, Close-Contact settings), a medical check-up date which is conducted in the morning at the Health & Welfare General Center that congestion is expected have been designated for each community association.
